POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Applications Developer to design, enhance, and support core ERP systems and related integrations. This role combines modern ERP development with legacy system maintenance, leveraging both JD Edwards-style toolsets and IBMi / RPG programming expertise to keep critical business applications running smoothly and evolving with the organization’s needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build, modify, and maintain custom applications, reports, and business functions within an enterprise ERP environment.

Use standard ERP development tools (forms, reports, tables, orchestrations, and integrations) to deliver technical solutions that support business operations.

Troubleshoot application issues in collaboration with systems administration and functional teams.

Enhance and maintain legacy programs written in RPG for IBM i systems that integrate with or complement ERP processes.

Support data migration, legacy conversions, and report modernization projects.

Develop and maintain system interfaces with external platforms using APIs, flat files, or database connections.

Create and test data conversion utilities for system upgrades or new implementations.

Work with analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust, scalable solutions.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, testing procedures, and deployment steps.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience required.
Experience & Technical Skills:
-
5 years of ERP development experience, ideally within a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or comparable enterprise platform (version 9.x or later preferred).

Strong proficiency with ERP development toolsets, including form/report design, table and data structure development, and orchestrations.

Demonstrated experience with RPG (III/IV/ILE) and CLP on IBM i / AS400 systems.

Hands-on SQL and DB2 query development and debugging skills.

Familiarity with modern integration frameworks such as RESTful APIs or AIS.

Experience with scripting or lightweight coding (Python, Groovy, Ruby, or similar) a plus.

Understanding of ERP architecture, CNC-like environments, and general business operations such as manufacturing or finance processes.

Knowledge of C programming or related compiled languages preferred.
