We are currently looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our team. This role focuses on helping adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) foster independence and develop essential independent living skills. We are seeking candidates dedicated to making a significant impact in the lives of our clients.
Program Overview:
Nexus launched this new program on May 1, 2021, serving individuals with ASD who live in their own apartments, alone or with a roommate, under a case management model. We currently support five individuals in Woburn and five in Lowell.
Position Details:
This is a part-time (8-hour to 30-hour) Direct Support Professional position with the potential to grow into a full-time, benefited role.
- Salary: $23.03 per hour.
- Supervision: You will work directly under the Program Director, who provides ongoing support sessions and training opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring attainment of Life Plan goals.
- Monitoring health, wellness, medical appointments, and medication compliance.
- Promoting independent living skills and the development of social, recreational, and community opportunities.
- Maintaining compliance with all DDS and Nexus regulations, policies, and directives.
Schedule: The core schedule is between 8 and 30 hours per week at both the Woburn and Lowell sites. All staff are required to attend a meeting in Woburn at 10am-12pm on the last Monday of each month.
Requirements:
- A current, valid driver's license and available vehicle are required.
- Willingness to travel to Woburn and Lowell sites.
- One year of experience in the field or related course of study is required.
- CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory.
