Position Summary
The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides therapeutic services to adult patients in a structured inpatient neurorecovery setting. This role supports emotional stabilization, behavioral progress, and long-term recovery for individuals with complex neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy for adult patients
- Complete psychosocial assessments and contribute to individualized treatment plans
- Document clinical services in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to neurological recovery
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
- Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews
- Support discharge planning and continuum-of-care coordination
- Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the State of Texas
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Experience in adult inpatient, neurorehabilitation, or behavioral health settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work in a structured, team-oriented healthcare environment
- Texas LPC license in good standing
- CPI or de-escalation training (required within 30 days of hire)
- Must maintain all certifications and licensure throughout employment
