The Project Scheduler is a critical member of the Project Services team, responsible for supporting Nexus Engineering Group’s Project Management and Project Delivery functions through the development, maintenance, and analysis of integrated project schedules. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, and Project Services leadership to ensure accurate planning, forecasting, and schedule performance tracking throughout all phases of engineering and construction projects.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and analyze project schedules from Front-End Loading (FEL) and Detailed Design through Construction and CommissioningEstablish and maintain project logic networks, schedule baselines, risk management data, forecasts, and schedule quality checksSupport earned value management, including progress tracking, schedule variance analysis, and performance reportingReport to the Project Scheduling Lead and serve as a liaison between Project Services and Project Management on all planning and scheduling matters related to project executionCollaborate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to develop project plans, collect status updates, and integrate schedule inputsMonitor actual progress against baseline schedules and report schedule impacts and trends to Project and Functional ManagementParticipate in periodic schedule reviews to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with project requirementsAssist in the preparation of earned value reports, schedule variance summaries, and project planning documentationSupport the review and continuous improvement of project scheduling procedures and best practicesRequired Experience and Expertise2-5 years’ of experience developing and maintaining engineering or construction project schedules (experience level may be adjusted based on candidate qualifications)Experience using Primavera P6 for schedule development and analysisStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Understanding of earned value management, forecasting, and schedule performance metricsAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPMP, PSP or CCP certification, a plusMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceMust be willing to travel up to 25�ucational/Certification RequirementsBS Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other equivalent experiencePhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephoneCompetitive BenefitsLearn more about our competitive benefits in detail.Why Nexus?Nexus Engineering Group, a distinguished independent full-service engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm, provides comprehensive support to clients from concept through startup.
