At Next Step Transitions, we don’t just move belongings—we help seniors and their families navigate one of life’s biggest life transitions with dignity, care, and support.

We are hiring Move Team Members (Packing, Moving & Home Clear-Out Support) who are ready for hands-on work that truly matters.

This is a physically active role with a strong human connection.

What You’ll Be Part Of

You’ll help older adults transition from long-held homes into safer, simpler living environments.

This includes:

• Packing and moving a lifetime of belongings
• Helping families through emotional and often overwhelming moments
• Assisting with home clear-outs—preparing homes for sale, donation, or transition

You are not just moving items—you are helping people move forward.

Position Details

• Pay: $25/hour
• Schedule: Part-time (18–30 hours/week) Full time Also available
• Monday–Friday
• 6-8 hour project-based days
• Location: Seattle King County Projects in other counties at times as well.
• Mileage reimbursement provided (must have reliable vehicle)

What You’ll Do

• Pack, move, and unpack household items with care and efficiency
• Lift, carry, and load items (up to 50 lbs)
• Assist the transport team with home clear-outs, including sorting items for donation, disposal, or relocation
• Help prepare homes for sale or transition
• Organize and set up new living spaces
• Work closely with a team to complete projects smoothly and on time
• Provide respectful, compassionate support to seniors and families
• Adapt to changing environments, timelines, and client needs

• Physically capable and comfortable with active, hands-on work
• Detail-oriented and take pride in doing things the right way
• Patient, respectful, and comfortable working with seniors
• Able to stay calm in emotional or fast-moving situations
• Reliable, team-oriented, and ready to jump in where needed

Experience is helpful—but not required.
We will train the right person.

This Role Is NOT for You If…

• You are not comfortable with physical labor and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• You prefer a sedentary or slow-paced work environment
• You are not comfortable with home clear-outs or disposal-related tasks
• You struggle with change or working in different locations each day
• You are not comfortable working around Seniors in emotional life transitions
