What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Test Engineer position at NextRow Digital?
Onsite position, not remote.
Responsibilities
• Lead customer deployments including understanding of requirements, environments, and design deployment strategies
• Develop Python/Bash scripts for Data handling/deployment
• Understand DevOps, Data conversion, Data integration, and Data loading.
• Collaborate with test and development teams to share knowledge
• Produce testing artifacts adhering to corporate standards and polices
• Perform integration/UAT testing to various environments.
• Coordinate with broader test team for system test plans/cycles
• Ensure project standards and procedures exist, are fully clearly documented, and followed throughout the software development life cycle; makes recommendations for enhanced documentation
• Gather, maintain, and create reports on quality metrics.
• Make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
Mandatory Skills/Experiences
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to deploy and test a solution in a customer environment.
• Experience in Linux and Windows systems
• In depth knowledge about performance testing and scalability
• Understand emerging web development models.
• Experience in enterprise software testing.
• Experience in writing SQL.
• Experience with JavaScript, JSON/XML, Python, Bash scripts.
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• QA Experience in defining, designing & executing test cases including automated tests.
Optional/Nice to have Skills
• Experienced working in an Agile scrum team as a key contributor and a team player.
• Understanding of Quality Processes.
• Experience with NoSQL and Postgres (or similar) databases.
• Experience with RESTful Services.
• Writing user stories, estimating and Sprint planning using JIRA or similar tools.
• Experience working closely with in-sprint testing.
• Demonstrated logical analysis skills, attention to detail and problem solving. Proven ability to work to deadlines.
