Systems Engineer – Cyber Security (5937)

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our client’s team in Reading, Pennsylvania. This is an Onsite, Contract To Hire position.

SALARY: $53-$58 hr (depending on experience)

Requirements

• 3 years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience
• Strong cloud security skills, preferably AWS (Azure/GCP considered)
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, well-rounded personality
• Participate in approximately once-a-month on-call rotation
• Ability to work across a broad security technology environment
• Demonstrated technical depth and problem-solving skills
  
  

Responsibilities

• Maintain network, server, and workstation firewall protection
• Conduct security reviews and define security models for new systems
• Analyze, recommend, and implement security products
• Audit access to mission-critical applications and ensure compliance (SOX, PCI)
• Review annual compliance reports
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve usability issues
• Manage 1-3 mid to large-scale security projects simultaneously
• Mentor cybersecurity team members and offshore contractors
• Define, implement, and update security architecture across platforms
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Monitor security compliance and detect attempted breaches
• Develop, test, and update disaster recovery plans
• Create security awareness training materials
• Maintain detailed understanding of cloud security fundamentals
