Director of Nursing Services

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead and oversee all nursing operations within our healthcare facility. This pivotal role involves ensuring the delivery of exceptional resident care, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a positive, collaborative environment for nursing staff. • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, ensuring optimal health outcomes and quality of life.
• Supervise and manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling shift coverage, and conducting performance evaluations to promote professional growth and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and Medicare guidelines.
• Review medical records, documentation, and assessments regularly to maintain accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal standards.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts to deliver seamless care across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health services, hospice programs, and acute care units.
• Oversee the use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation review and data management.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives focused on patient safety, infection control protocols, medication management, and regulatory audits.
• Manage resident’s (Personalized Care Plans), ensuring they reflect current health status and meet individual preferences.
• Facilitate ongoing education for nursing staff on topics such as medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, shift management strategies, and documentation review procedures.
• Collaborate with administrative leadership to optimize operational workflows that support high standards of nursing care while maintaining compliance with Medicare requirements.

• Extensive experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes or related healthcare environments with proven nurse management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with supervising experience in diverse healthcare settings including home health and hospice care.
• In-depth knowledge of nursing administration principles combined with expertise in managing medical records and documentation review processes.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and EHR systems to streamline clinical workflows and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology along with physiology and anatomy knowledge essential for effective resident assessment.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to safeguard resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Experience managing care plans aligned with Medicare guidelines while ensuring compliance with federal healthcare standards.
• Ability to oversee shift management effectively while fostering a team-oriented environment focused on resident-centered care.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging residents’ families in care discussions.
• Demonstrated capability in nurse management roles involving supervising staff performance, training initiatives, and leadership development.
