Description:
The Sales Director will be responsible for driving semiconductor equipment business growth through market development, strategic customer relationship management, and new business generation. The role involves managing key customer accounts, identifying new opportunities, leading high-value contract negotiations, and achieving sales targets.
The position requires strong hands-on involvement in wafer demonstrations, JDP/JEP activities, product demonstrations, technical discussions, tool specifications, pricing, quotations, and understanding customer requirements. The Sales Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop customer solutions, manage the complete sales cycle, and strengthen long-term relationships with key semiconductor customers.
The strongest candidate should have:
• Direct semiconductor equipment sales experience — this should be treated as a core requirement rather than general semiconductor sales.
• Intel account experience — highly preferred. Prior direct sales into Intel or responsibility for Intel as a strategic/key customer should move a candidate to the top of the sourcing pool.
• Major account management experience, ideally managing large semiconductor manufacturers/fabs.
• Technical sales capability — able to discuss semiconductor tools, equipment specifications, customer requirements, demonstrations, pricing, and technical solutions.
• Business development experience with evidence of generating new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
• Senior sales leadership experience, including forecasting, sales targets, account strategy, negotiations, and revenue responsibility.
