What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Project Manager position at NextGen Solutions Corporation?
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and dependencies.
- Manage day-to-day project activities to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal staff, vendors, and external partners.
- Oversee implementation of enterprise applications, infrastructure upgrades, cloud solutions, and/or digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to agency IT standards, security requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Support system integration, testing, deployment, and change management processes.
- Provide regular status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings, and facilitate meetings.
- Monitor project performance metrics, conduct post-implementation reviews, and promote the adoption of best practices in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- At least 3 years of project management experience with an active PMP or CSM certification.
- Proven experience with budget management and implementing software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience using PM related tools - i.e. Microsoft 365 (Teams, Planner, Loop, List), Jira, Power BI.
- Ability to handle project level risk management and potential conflict resolutions.
- Experience using hybrid frameworks (Agile and Waterfall) is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and experience utilizing AI is a plus.
- Maintain high ethical standards of integrity and quality.
