Role Description The Graphic Design Marketing Intern is a part-time (6 - 10 hour per week), hybrid or remote role based in Woburn, MA. The intern will help develop promotional campaigns and design materials for NIF's educational programs, exhibitions, workshops, festivals, and youth arts initiatives. Responsibilities may include:
- Designing posters, flyers, social media graphics, email banners, and other promotional materials
- Supporting marketing campaigns for NIF programs and events
- Creating and scheduling content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
- Assisting with email outreach and promotional communications
- Maintaining consistent branding across digital and printed materials
- Editing photographs, graphics, and short promotional videos
- Researching outreach opportunities, community partners, schools, and arts organizations
- Helping organize campaign materials, content calendars, and marketing assets
- Collaborating with NIF staff to develop creative ideas and improve audience engagement
Compensation and Professional Development
This is an unpaid, educational internship designed to provide university students with hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, graphic design, campaign development, arts promotion, and community outreach. Interns will have opportunities to build their portfolios, develop professional skills, and contribute to meaningful youth arts and education initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Graphics and Graphic Design for creating clear, engaging visual materials.
- Candidates should possess skills in Logo Design and Branding to support consistent and compelling visual identities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Image Editing to optimize and refine visuals for digital and print channels.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent software.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow brand guidelines, and openness to feedback and iteration.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Coursework or experience in graphic design, visual communication, or related fields; portfolio of design work is highly encouraged.
- Basic Mandarin language skills are a plus but are not required.
