RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the WiFi SME and mentor for a team of 8–10 wireless engineers.
- Oversee the introduction of code and config changes into the live production network.
- Review and approve wireless and network designs for performance and compatibility.
- Lead the rollout strategy and impact evaluation for major network changes.
- Drive standardization and best practices across the wireless operations lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Layers 1–7 (Routing, Switching, Firewall, Transport).
- Maintain network integrity through observability tooling (Grafana, Splunk, Netscout) and rigorous documentation.
SKILLS
- Experience with either Ruckus, Aruba or Cisco APs and controller-based (vendor-agnostic) environments.
- Should have worked on Carrier/ISP operations and/or high-scale deployments, including IGP/eBGP routing and broadband edge.
- Proficiency with Linux-based backend systems (AAA servers) and CLI operations.
- 1 years working with CI/CD pipelines, virtualized controllers, and automation (Ansible or Python).
- Proven ability to make high-level decisions on network integrity and code releases.
- Deep OSI model knowledge and packet-flow analysis (DNS, DHCP, IPv6).
- Familiarity with Load Balancing/GSLB (A10, Anycast).
CERTIFICATIONS
- Industry and vendor-specific certifications preferred (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.)
