Required Skills & Experience
- 10–20 years of construction experience
- 5 years in a Construction Manager, Superintendent, or equivalent field leadership role
- Direct experience in industrial boiler or power-generation construction (commercial/residential only is not sufficient)
- Proven track record managing boiler erection or replacement projects, pressure-part installation, welding scopes, and brownfield/operating plant construction
- Experience managing outages with compressed schedules and multiple contractors on projects ranging from $10M–$100M
- Deep technical understanding of boiler erection sequencing, pressure-part installation tolerances, structural steel supports, heavy rigging, and crane operations
- Strong safety leadership, including working at heights, confined space entry, hot work, heavy lifts, and energy isolation/LOTO
- Experience in planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and labor/productivity management
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholders, clients, and field teams
- Familiarity with weld quality inspections, temporary systems (scaffolding, access), and tight-clearance/high-elevation work
- Experience with schedule development, recovery planning, and change management
- Experience developing superintendents, field engineers, and future leaders
- Ability to manage both union and non-union craft labor and subcontractors
