Data Analyst II – Houston / Plano, TX
Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst II to deliver actionable insights that drive business strategy, KPI performance, and operational optimization. This role involves working with large datasets, performing advanced analysis, and presenting strategic recommendations to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced data analysis using large, complex datasets to support business decisions
- Develop and execute SQL queries across multiple platforms with a focus on performance and accuracy
- Identify trends, drivers, and opportunities through statistical analysis
- Validate data quality and resolve inconsistencies
- Partner with cross-functional teams (data architecture, business stakeholders) to support data needs
- Create dashboards, reports, and presentations (Tableau, PowerPoint) to communicate insights clearly
- Translate complex data into meaningful business recommendations
- Track projects and tasks using JIRA and manage deliverables proactively
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- 3–4 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
- Strong SQL/Teradata experience
- Proficiency in Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint (Think-Cell preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Python, R, or data modeling
- Understanding of KPI development and statistical significance
- Experience working with large-scale relational databases
