We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC professional to oversee quality control processes across large-scale industrial and data center construction projects, with a strong focus on electrical installations. This role is responsible for ensuring all work complies with project specifications, codes, and quality standards while proactively preventing defects and delays.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15 years of QA/QC experience in heavy industrial construction (power plants, data centers, etc.)
- Prior experience in data center construction (highly preferred)
- QA/QC certifications or formal inspection training (nice to have)
Tools & Systems
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Quality tracking and documentation systems
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Control Program in alignment with project specifications
- Ensure full compliance with all QC requirements outlined in the QC Plan
- Oversee QC inspections, sampling, and testing across:
- Off-site production facilities
- QC laboratories
- On-site field operations
- Manage and track submittals, testing plans, and approvals to avoid project delays
- Maintain accurate logs including:
- Submittal status logs
- Material tracking reports
- Rework/non-conformance lists
- Coordinate closely with:
- Construction Project Superintendent
- Project Engineers
- Quality Assurance representatives
- Conduct and enforce the 4-phase QC process:
- Submittal review
- Pre-installation meetings
- Initial inspections
- Follow-up inspections
- Review and validate all QC documentation for completeness and compliance
- Ensure as-built drawings and material records are continuously updated
- Identify quality issues proactively and implement corrective actions
Required Qualifications
- Strong ability to interpret:
- Blueprints
- As-built drawings
- Extensive experience in:
- Electrical installations (HV, MV, LV systems)
- Greenfield construction projects
- Hands-on experience with:
- Bus duct, cable bus systems
- Load bank testing
- CSA and commissioning (CX) processes
- Familiarity with:
- API / ASME standards
- QA/QC documentation (weld mapping, MTRs, flange mapping, etc.)
- Proven experience in:
- System walk-downs and testing
- Third-party inspections and QA audits
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to meet deadlines
