Position: Analyzing Technician ILocation: Elgin, ILEmployment Type: Contract, Full-TimeShift Options:1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:15 PM2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PMDuration: Immediate start through year-end (extensions possible)Role Overview:You will be responsible for board-level analysis and troubleshooting of failed 2-way subscriber products (mobile and portable radios). This role requires testing, diagnosing, and identifying root causes of failures using advanced electronic tools.Key Responsibilities:Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using test equipment, simulators, and troubleshooting techniquesTroubleshoot complex problems, define corrective actions, and communicate findingsIdentify vendor vs. process defects; document findings in detailed failure analysis reportsRecord failure data and provide clear explanations of diagnosesSupport factory operations on weekends if requiredWork independently and adapt to varying conditionsQualifications:Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology required; Bachelor’s preferred1–3 years of experience in electronics testing/troubleshooting, preferably with RF knowledgeProficiency with signal generators, modulation/audio analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, etc.Ability to read and interpret schematics for component-level troubleshooting is a plusExtensive knowledge of 2-way subscriber products is a plusStrong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills100% onsite presenceSteel toe boots mandatoryOpportunities:Exposure to advanced troubleshooting techniquesPotential contract extensionsFast-paced, improvement-focused work environment
