Information Security Analyst (Secret Clearance Required)

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a highly experienced Information Security Analyst to protect organizational systems, applications, and data assets by ensuring secure system design, implementation, and operation. This role is responsible for analyzing security requirements, evaluating system functionality, supporting secure implementation efforts, and ensuring compliance with applicable security standards and policies.The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep technical experience, and the ability to translate business and user requirements into secure, compliant system solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and analyze system security requirements based on user input and business needsEvaluate business requirements and recommend secure technical alternativesDevelop and maintain comprehensive technical and security documentationConduct security testing and validation of development and production software to ensure proper functionality and complianceSupport the secure implementation and integration of computer systems to meet customer requirementsIdentify system vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategiesCollaborate with system administrators, developers, and stakeholders to ensure security controls are properly implementedSupport risk assessments, audits, and compliance activitiesEnsure adherence to applicable cybersecurity frameworks and organizational policiesRequired QualificationsFour-year degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldMinimum of seven (7) years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) roleExperience developing system requirements based on user inputExperience analyzing business requirements and evaluating technical alternativesExperience developing and maintaining technical documentationExperience testing development and production software for correct functionalityExperience implementing computer systems to meet customer requirementsActive DoD Secret security clearance or higherPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting secure system design within government or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with risk management frameworks and cybersecurity compliance standardsExperience conducting vulnerability assessments or security control testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsNextGen Federal Systems is an innovative technology and professional services provider specializing in advanced software solutions and comprehensive mission and business support services.
