Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain database-driven applications to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other IT team members to define application specifications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using one or more supported programming languages
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and usability
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices
- Ensure applications comply with security, performance, and data integrity requirements
- Support application deployment, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities
- Four-year degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) role
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing database-driven IT applications
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages or technologies: C , Java / J2EE, Visual Basic, .NET, HTML / XML, PowerBuilder, Delphi
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
- Experience working in a team-based development environment
- Familiarity with version control systems and modern development tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
