About the Role
We’re hiring a hands‑on, detail‑driven Field Superintendent to run day‑to‑day field operations across active residential construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to keep subs moving, maintain quality, and keep the job site clean, safe, and organized. You’ll be the on‑site leader ensuring the project stays on schedule and built to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Subcontractor Direction & Quality Control
• Direct, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors on site
• Inspect work daily and use checklists to ensure quality and compliance
• Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions with trades
Job Site Management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site (sweep outs, trash removal, dumpster swaps)
• Oversee material management: store materials properly, pick up materials when needed, and anticipate shortages
• Haul and move construction equipment, material, and jobsite waste as needed
Inspections
• Schedule inspections and meet inspectors on site
• Document inspection feedback and organize action items
• Coordinate subcontractor corrections to close out inspections quickly
Scheduling & Workflow
• Own the daily and weekly job site schedule
• Ensure subs know what needs to be completed each day
• Keep the project moving efficiently (this is not a project manager role, but you run the field schedule)
Hands‑On Work & Small Projects
• Perform small handyman‑level tasks to keep the job moving
• Assist with minor repairs, adjustments, and prep work as needed
Punch List Execution
• Complete or coordinate punch list items
• Ensure final quality meets company standards before handoff
Technology & Communication
• Use construction management software and mobile apps for scheduling, documentation, communication, and progress tracking (JobTread experience is a bonus, but not required)
• Upload photos, notes, and updates to keep the project team aligned
Qualifications
• 5 or more years of residential construction and/or site supervision experience
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and best practices
• Ability to read plans, scopes, and installation details
• Comfortable using construction software, mobile apps, and digital communication tools
• Hands‑on skills and comfort performing small tasks when needed
• Highly organized with strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
