An Investment Management Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Valuations Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Support the onboarding of newly originated investments in close collaboration with underwriting teams.
- Conduct monthly valuations of illiquid securities and periodically present findings to the valuation committee.
- Perform independent internal valuation analyses, incorporating financial statements, deal structures, market data, and other relevant investment factors.
- Develop and maintain financial models to monitor issuer performance.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly portfolio review materials and occasionally present insights to portfolio managers.
- Serve as a liaison across internal teams—including investment, investor relations, business development, technology, and portfolio analytics—as well as external stakeholders such as third-party valuation firms and auditors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in financial consulting, investment banking, asset management, a top-tier public accounting firm, third-party valuation provider, or credit rating agency.
- Solid understanding of debt instruments.
- Hands-on experience in debt or equity valuation, three-statement financial modeling, and financial analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong modeling and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Capital IQ or FactSet is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment.
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
