A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join them as Director on their Credit Fund Management Team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight in evaluating potential CRE debt transactions, ensuring thorough due diligence and timely execution.
- Develop, structure, and review financing proposals for presentation to the Fund’s Credit Committee, as well as for communication with external debt and equity partners.
- Mentor and supervise senior associates and analysts in underwriting, financial modeling, and transaction due diligence.
- Lead the preparation of both short- and long-form Investment Memoranda, ensuring accuracy and quality of financial models for Investment Committee meetings.
- Oversee analysis of portfolio performance, market trends, and credit conditions across the existing loan portfolio.
- Work closely with origination, underwriting, and senior leadership (CEO, CFO, COO) to support strategic initiatives.
- Engage with borrowers to address complex or sensitive issues and proactively manage risk.
- Play a key role in business development and fund marketing efforts, maintaining relationships with existing investors and prospective partners.
- Contribute to strategic planning and operational improvements to enhance overall fund performance and efficiency.
- Support the professional growth of team members through mentorship, work review, and ongoing guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; an advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CCIM) is a plus.
- Strong background in finance and/or real estate.
- 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in commercial lending, real estate finance, or related disciplines.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including experience managing or supervising junior team members such as analysts and associates.
- Demonstrated success overseeing complex transactions, with a solid track record in originating, underwriting, and closing CRE debt deals.
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
