Position Specific Description
Florida City Gas is seeking a Field Technician III to join their team in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Job Overview
Employees in this role support field operations including deactivation of service, gas meter, and above ground piping corrosion inspections, collections, meter reading activities, underground pipeline locating, and assisting with other maintenance activities, as needed. Individuals complete all assigned customer and compliance related activities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Works assigned route to complete customer and compliance orders in accordance with company policies and procedures and operator qualifications procedures
- Deactivates gas service
- Conducts regular meter inspections and maintenance of above and below ground gas systems
- Completes assigned tasks using pipeline locating equipment and appropriate hand tools
- Installs Encoder Receiver Transmitters (ERT) and performs collection duties as assigned
- Identifies abnormal operating conditions, takes appropriate actions, and performs miscellaneous inspections as required
- Captures work order documentation on the company-provided technology accurately
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 0 years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
