As our platform continues to evolve, we are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Laravel experience to help us build, maintain, and improve the applications our clients rely on every day. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Laravel
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, business logic, and integrations
- Develop modern user interfaces using React and Next.js
- Design, implement, and optimize relational database solutions
- Integrate internal systems, third-party services, APIs, and external vendors
- Develop and support software applications used by financial services professionals
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, and production issues
- Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Collaborate with other engineers and internal teams to plan and deliver new features
- Communicate directly with end clients and vendors when needed
- Help establish and maintain engineering best practices
- Work independently while contributing to broader team objectives
- Evaluate new technologies and development practices when they can provide meaningful value to the business
What You Bring
Required
- 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong, hands-on experience with Laravel
- Strong understanding of Laravel architecture, including routing, controllers, middleware, Eloquent ORM, queues, jobs, events, and APIs
- Experience building and maintaining production web applications
- Strong experience with React and/or Next.js
- Experience designing and working with relational databases
- Experience with SQL Server and/or MySQL
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Experience with .NET / C#
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, version control, testing, and code quality
Preferred
- Extensive experience architecting and developing large Laravel applications
- Experience with both AWS and Azure
- Experience with both SQL Server and MySQL
- Experience designing and optimizing complex relational databases
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with background jobs, queues, caching, and asynchronous processing
- Experience with application performance monitoring and optimization
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and enterprise systems
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries
