- Installs light commercial HVAC/R equipment, components, and controls in accordance with project plans, manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and Nextech standards
- Performs equipment startup, testing, and commissioning to verify proper operation and system performance
- Reviews and interprets mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
- Coordinates daily work activities, installation progress, material needs, and project status with project teams, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other jobsite personnel
- Completes required customer and Nextech documentation, including IVR check-in/check-out, electronic documentation, photographs, and supporting paperwork
- Maintains accurate and timely project records, equipment information, and required installation documentation
- Operates a company vehicle between home, branch offices, supply locations, and assigned worksites in accordance with Company safety and vehicle policies
- Maintains a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle and safeguards Company tools, equipment, and materials
- Identifies and communicates conditions that may impact safety, quality, productivity, schedules, or project scope and assists in resolving issues as appropriate
- Complies with all Company, customer, and jobsite safety requirements and completes required safety, technical, and professional trainin
- Performs assigned work in a safe, accurate, efficient, and professional manner
- Upholds Company policies and procedures while maintaining professional interactions with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and the public
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Working knowledge of light commercial HVAC/R installation, startup, and commissioning practices
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and project documentation
- Ability to read and accurately use measuring devices and layout tools
- Knowledge of applicable OSHA safety requirements and safe work practices
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other tools required to install and commission HVAC/R systems
- Proficiency using smartphones, tablets, laptops, and job-related software to document work and communicate project status
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently or collaboratively, and complete assignments safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and accurate documentation
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, vendors, and other jobsite personnel
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and represent the Company in a professional manner at all times
- Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel, as required by project schedules
- Commitment to maintaining technical knowledge through ongoing training and professional development
- Ability to achieve project objectives while adhering to Company safety, quality, and operational standards
- Must maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment
