The Opportunity We're seeking a Satellite Communications Technician to support and maintain DoD and commercial SATCOM systems, including modems, baseband gear, and backup power systems. Key Responsibilities * Operate / Maintain various DoD and commercial satellite communications systems, modems and baseband equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on electronic equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair communications system faults
- Prepare written reports as required
- Utilize electronic test equipment to troubleshoot serial and IP circuits
- Operate power backup systems including diesel generators and UPS
- Escort visitors as required
- Perform duties while standing and walking for extended periods
- Climb and work safely at various heights on antenna structures
- Operate effectively in outdoor environments, including inclement weather and confined spaces
- Lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as required. * Other duties as assigned
