The Opportunity
SOCOM Blue Force Tracking/Personal Recovery Technical SME II in support of SOCOM contracts providing technical equipment advisory, training, outreach and support for SOCOM users.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the SOCOM DPM for BFT and SOF personnel on various BFT and PR equipment, technical capabilities and employment Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs)
- Assist in the development and implementation of Concepts of Operations (CONOPs)
- Provide new equipment training (NET) and recurring training on SOF Family of BFT systems for SOCOM components and their subordinates and each Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC).
- Attend and participate in technical interchange meetings, program reviews, and other working groups in support of the SOCOM BFT/PR PEO activities.
- Program, configure and deploy SOCOM BFT systems in support of deployments operations and exercises.
- Support testing of SOCOM BFT/PR systems, provide technical and operational expertise, drafting testing plans and reports, and capturing CONOPS and TTPs.
- Work with other agencies in developing and coordinating architectures and other critical information networks to support BFT operations and dissemination.
- US Citizenship with Active Top Secret clearance; SCI Eligibility
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience; a combination of education and equivalent experience including technical and operational experience will be considered.
Required Skills, Experience & Abilities
- Experience with web-based applications including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, and various viewing software programs such as: MAVEN, Aide/ARES, FT Web, Scry Enterprise, TAK, and FadeMist.
- Requires operational experience with Blue Force Tracking and SOF unique PR devices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retired or former Special Operations soldier minimum of 5 years of United States military experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience with satellite systems, tasking, and data dissemination.
- Experience with SOF C2, ATAK, and other company deployed tactical tools supporting situational awareness.
- Experience working with software defined radios, radio frequency systems and architectures.
- Familiarity with Signals Intelligence, intelligence threats, environmental and other impacts to Satellite communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent motivational skills and the ability to effectively interact and communicate with administration, customers, and employees
- Experience assisting with development of tactical systems architectures, including ground, air, maritime, and dismount. Facilitate COP, extension of services, connection to SIE/SIPR, network operations (Net Ops), PLI/BFT/SA, ISR, voice, data, Line-of-Sight, SATCOM, etc.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to travel independently and operate for periods of time without supervision.
- Ability to perform CONUS and OCONUS travel requirements to support Unit., with 30% travel per year
- Must be able to repair electronic devices to include replacing batteries and some components.
- Must be able to transport a 35 pound load with no assistance
