Brief Description

The Opportunity

NTS is seeking developers to design, develop, test and maintain production capabilities of Stronghold, a secure AI-enabled SaaS platform. The ideal candidate has experience building modern cloud applications and AI-enabled systems as part of high-performance teams.

Key Responsibilities (Principal Duties and Accountabilities *Essential Functions)

• Design, develop, test and maintain production capabilities across the Stronghold platform
• Design and implement AI-enabled capabilities including RAG, information extraction, search, report generation and agentic-driven workflows
• Develop modern web application functionality across front-end/back-end and supporting services
• Review code and technical designs from other developers providing actionable feedback focused on security, maintainability and simplicity
  
  

Requirements

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Active Secret Security Clearance with the U.S. Government is required
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  
  

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities

• 8 years of relevant experience
• 5 years progressive relevant experience in software development, search engineering, or related discipline
• Experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Understanding of lexical search, vector search, semantic search, metadata filtering, and hybrid retrieval.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OpenSearch vector search, ingest pipelines, index state management, aliases snapshots, and security features.
• Hands-on experience developing and operating solutions using OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or a comparable search platform.
• Experience with document extraction technologies for PDF, Office, email, html, audio, video, or scanned content.
• Experience integrating with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure Blob Storage, network file shares, API,

• Work occurs across lab, office, and occasional field/test environments, with conditions varying by task and event requirements.
• The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring adaptability and responsiveness to shifting priorities.
• Support may occasionally require schedule adjustments outside normal business hours to accommodate test events, customer timelines, or mission needs.
• Comfort operating independently across multiple customer sites; flexibility to travel up to 10%
