**The Opportunity**

The Customer Success Engineer II (CSE) will provide dedicated subject matter expertise in delivering Day Zero automation for tactical systems using NexTech Solutions MANTLE Platform. This role is responsible for enabling automated deployment and configuration of network devices, datacenter infrastructure, and supporting application dependencies required for tactical data node systems.

This is a hybrid position based in Tampa, FL and combines remote work with on-site support for tactical systems at operational scale. The role serves as a key technical advisor to the customer, ensuring successful adoption, deployment, troubleshooting, and sustainment of MANTLE-enabled automation workflows. This role requires a strong mix of technical depth, customer engagement ability, and execution discipline.

The ideal candidate has experience in infrastructure deployment, Linux, networking, and system integration, with additional strength in datacenter and hyperconverged infrastructure preferred. The successful candidate will also bring strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate technical efforts across multiple stakeholders in fast moving mission environments.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Represent NexTech Solutions in front of operational users, integrators, and government stakeholders
  • Serve as the customer facing SME for MANTLE and day zero automation workflows
  • Translate mission and operational requirements into practical deployment automation solutions
  • Configure, validate, troubleshoot, and sustain automated deployment workflows
  • Coordinate technical tasks, timelines, dependencies, and issue resolution activities with the product team and internal stakeholders
  • Develop deployment playbooks, documentation, and best practices
  • Capture customer feedback and recommend improvements to product and process

**Requirements**

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain Top Secret

**Education**

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience in a customer facing technical role

**Required Skills, Experience and Abilities**

  • 4 years of experience in field engineering, systems integration, or customer facing technical role
  • Strong experience with:

o

IP networking concepts that include routing, switching, subnetting, VLAN configuration, VPN integration, and network troubleshooting

o

Linux systems (deployment, administration, troubleshooting)

o

Supporting integrated hardware, software, and network environments

o

Project management or technical delivery coordination

o

Communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Demonstrated ability to:

o

Operate in high-pressure, time-constrained environments

o

Troubleshoot complex systems with incomplete or evolving information

  • Experience translating technical capabilities into mission relevant outcomes
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience gathering customer feedback and influencing product roadmaps
  • Fluency with IP networking concepts including routing, switching, subnetting, VLAN configuration, VPN integration, and network troubleshooting
  • Proficiency deploying, administering and troubleshooting Linux systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or similar), including command-line operations, networking configuration, script development, service management and log analysis.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Prior military or defense contractor field engineering experience (ISR/C2/Communications) is strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience and expertise in deploying, administering and troubleshooting Linux systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or similar), including command-line operations, networking configuration scrip development, service management, and log analysis.
  • Experience supporting regulated or complex enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with customer success metrics (adoption, health scores, churn risk)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with enterprise stakeholders
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable leading customer meetings, workshops and technical working groups
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer first mindset
  • Positive attitude safety and following protocols
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
