Company Description: Nextcea Inc. is a pharmaceutical services company focused on assessing drug efficacy and safety using biomarker-based LC-MS assays in late-stage drug development and clinical trials. We integrate LC-MS/MS biomarker data with disease biology and PK/PD to evaluate efficacy and support drug development for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.
Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Analytical Scientist role based in Woburn, MA. The Analytical Scientist will support biomarker analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting laboratory experiments, preparing samples, operating LC-MS/MS, and ensuring high-quality data generation and documentation. The role involves interpreting experimental results, troubleshooting analytical issues, and preparing technical reports and study documentation in compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards. The Analytical Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional project team members, contribute to study design and timelines, and support continuous improvement of laboratory workflows and data integrity practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline, along with relevant laboratory experience
- Experience with UPLC-MS/MS is preferred, but not required
- Candidates should be able to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and adapt to the challenges of pharmaceutical projects.
- Self-motivated candidates who are excellent team players and can effectively contribute to established laboratory procedures and protocols.
