Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Traveling Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide expert speech and language therapy services across diverse settings, including Daycare, clinics, and PPEC centers. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality, individualized care to pediatric and adult patients with speech, language, and communication impairments. This position offers the exciting opportunity to travel between multiple locations, bringing essential therapy services directly to those in need while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for patients across different age groups, including early intervention and school-aged children.
  • Develop and implement personalized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, utilizing evidence-based techniques.
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions via in-person visits or telehealth platforms, ensuring continuity of care regardless of location.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress and facilitate effective communication strategies.
  • Document patient progress accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), maintaining detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Educate families and caregivers on speech-language strategies to promote ongoing development outside of therapy sessions.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology by participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Proven experience working with pediatric populations, including early intervention programs and school settings.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatrics, geriatrics, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across diverse settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and prior telehealth experience preferred.
  • Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a flexible travel schedule across multiple locations.
