Responsibilities
- Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as assisting practitioners with notes and inter-office communication
- Escort patients to rooms, notify practitioners, update charts, and clean rooms after visits
- Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
- Assist nurses and doctors with care coordination in the office
- Track fabrication and prescription statuses, call other medical offices for notes/prescriptions, and manage patient communication on the status of their braces, orthotics, and prosthetics as well as the required documentation for those services
- BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant or comparable in the prosthetic/orthotics field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
