At Next Step ABA, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. Based in Brooklyn, NY, we provide high-quality, compassionate, and individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We are seeking a highly motivated and clinical-minded Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to design effective programming, lead our clinical teams, and help our clients take their next steps toward independence and success.

Job Description

As a BCBA at Next Step ABA, you will serve as the clinical leader for your assigned cases. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing ongoing training and supervision to our team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). You will work closely with families to ensure generalization of skills and provide compassionate parent training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, PEAK).
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill-acquisition programs.
  • Provide ongoing, direct supervision, mentorship, and training to RBTs to ensure high-fidelity implementation of treatment plans.
  • Graph, review, and analyze client data to make data-driven decisions and modify programming as needed.
  • Conduct regular parent and caregiver training sessions to empower families and promote the generalization of skills outside of therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation and progress reports for insurance funding.
  • Collaborate with other service providers, teachers, and related professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Certification: Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license or be eligible to obtain it immediately.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a BCBA, preferably with children and adolescents with ASD in home, clinic, or community settings.
  • Clearances: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, time-management, and clinical problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and staff.
  • Logistics: Reliable transportation for local travel within the Brooklyn area to conduct in-home and community observations.

What We Offer

  • Highly competitive salary or hourly rates.
  • Manageable caseloads to ensure work-life balance and high-quality clinical care.
  • Annual stipend for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and professional development.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options (for full-time employees).
  • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Flexible scheduling and the ability to work remotely for administrative tasks and telehealth parent training.
  • A supportive leadership team that values your clinical expertise and fosters a collaborative culture.
