Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled truck driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload material, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while considering traffic patterns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup
- Receive and process warehouse stock products
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations as well as company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. (Class B)
- Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs)
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures .
- High School degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
