Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Low Voltage Project Manager located in Avon, IN. The Low Voltage Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of low voltage projects including structured cabling, security, audio/visual, access control, and fire alarm systems, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Daily responsibilities include expediting workflows, managing logistics, conducting inspections, and overseeing project management activities to meet client and company standards. Effective communication and collaboration with teams and clients are key to the role.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Plan, schedule, and manage low voltage installation projects from start to finish.
  • Supervise field technicians and subcontractors; ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to deadlines.
  • Manage project budgets, change orders, and invoicing in coordination with accounting.
  • Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
  • Procure necessary materials and equipment; manage logistics and inventory.
  • Resolve issues quickly to minimize project delays and cost overruns.


Personal Development

  • Prepare and submit annually a personal skills development plan that aligns to your role and company vision
  • Complete 10 hours per quarter in training that supports your personal development plan
  • Act with professionalism and integrity in all actions while working on the company’s behalf – includes time in the office, day and overnight travel, or at a vendor’s or customer’s site

Experience and Education

  • B.S/B.A./A.S in Business, Management, Electrical Engineering or Technology or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience in construction sciences
  • BICSI and RCDD certified
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • 5-7 years minimum related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the management of industrial electrical projects
  • Electrical systems knowledge and ability to read and understand electrical drawings, P&IDs and process mechanical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems: data/voice cabling, CCTV, AV, access control, fire alarm, etc.


Physical Requirements

  • Light physical activity performing generally non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative and production/technical nature. ?
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Sit at a computer for extended periods
  • Walk and stand for extended periods
  • Talk and listen with employees
  • Walk up and down stairs


Work Environment

  • Approximately 60% office work and 40% at installation site, as project needs require
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate however, high noise levels may be experienced at construction sites
  • May require working outside standard business hours based on project needs
