The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting multiple clinical locations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The assistant must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.

- Communicates various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
- Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
- Works with contractors, employees, the CEO, COO, and other professionals.
- Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems.
- Maintains employee personnel files.
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely
- Maintains and supports the clinical management team with employee recognition and engagement activities and programs.
- Helps maintain CARF compliance
- Answers calls and emails.
- Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill job openings.
- At least 1 year of experience in HR or related field.
Experience
- Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and change management principles is highly desirable.
- Experience with project management and data collection techniques related to HR functions is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using HR software such as Oracle HCM, Paychex, Dayforce, BBSI, ADP or similar platforms is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Computer skills and knowledge are a MUST.
- Google Drive knowledge is a MUST.
- CARF experience is a plus.
- Must be able to multitask at great lengths.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
