Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor/Foreman to oversee underground fiber construction projects and ensure they are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, quality control, and OSHA regulations. You will be responsible for managing on-site teams, developing team, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with blueprints and project specifications. Specific preference for Veterans and passion for transitioning military personnel entering the workforce.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of workers and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
- Utilize systems for project documentation and communication among team members.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate execution of construction plans.
- Conduct regular inspections using tools such as an ohmmeter to verify compliance with electrical standards.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to maintain high workmanship standards.
- Schedule projects effectively to meet deadlines while managing resources efficiently.
- Provide training and support to team members on best practices in construction management and safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Supervisor or Supervisor in a construction environment is essential, with a focus on projects involving fiber.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations, including OSHA regulations and safety practices.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and familiarity with construction management software such as Teams and Salesforce.
- Experience with project scheduling techniques and quality control measures is highly desirable.
- Ability to build effective teams, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment.
