Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional to join our team in Akron. 40 hours/week
24 hour weekend coverage
Schedule is as follows:
- Monday - Friday 3 pm - 11 pm
- Monday - Friday 11 pm - 7:30 am
- Saturday 7 am - 7 pm
- Saturday 7 pm - 7 am
- Sunday 7 am - 7 pm
- Sunday 7 pm - 7:30 am
Duties
- Assist client with personal hygiene.
- Provide patient monitoring and observation to ensure safety and well-being.
- Meal Prep
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization of spaces.
- Document client progress and any changes in condition while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Medication administration required
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Background in caregiving, home health, assisted living, or long-term care is advantageous.
- Up to date DSP certificate is required
- Up to date First Aid and CPR certificate is required.
- Med Cert 1 is required
- Familiarity with patient care techniques including patient observation is essential.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions as needed.
- Must be 18 years old
- Must have reliable vehicle
- Valid drivers license and valid car insurance
- 5 point or less on driving record
- Must have High School Diploma/G.E.D or college transcripts
- Background check required
