Job Title: Supply Chain Planning Systems Lead
Location: Chicago, IL – Onsite*
Contract-to-Hire: 6-month contract with potential to convert to full-time
About the Role
We’re looking for a Supply Chain Planning Systems Lead to drive the delivery and implementation of end-to-end planning solutions across demand planning, supply planning, and finite scheduling. You’ll work across multiple business units to execute projects, drive adoption, and deliver measurable business value.
What You’ll Do
*Strategy & Planning*
- Assess current processes, systems, and data across business units
- Support platform evaluations and fit-gap analysis for supply chain planning tools
- Help define project scope, success metrics, and high-level solution direction
- Identify risks and integration challenges between ERP and legacy systems
- Evaluate data readiness and integration complexity
*Solution Design & Delivery*
- Lead design and implementation of planning solutions for demand, supply, and scheduling
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and translate them into functional/technical designs
- Oversee configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and hypercare support
- Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, commercial, and IT teams, plus external system integrators
- Ensure solutions meet GxP, validation, and regulatory requirements
- Drive standardization while accommodating unique business needs
- Recommend continuous process improvements
*Data & Integration*
- Support data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
- Ensure data quality and readiness across ERP and legacy systems
- Assist with testing and validation of data flows and integrations
Top Skills
- 8 years’ experience with supply chain planning systems in demand, supply, or scheduling
- Hands-on experience with leading supply chain planning platforms
- Strong understanding of life sciences/manufacturing supply chain and production processes
- Experience integrating planning tools with ERP systems
- Proven ability to deliver large programs and execute data strategies
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in regulated environments with validation/GxP requirements preferred
