Mental Health Therapist (LMSW) – Contractor Role
Next Generation Wellness – Behavioral Health Practice | Rockville, MD
Location: Rockville, MD (Hybrid; in-person availability once per week required)
Compensation & Schedule
* $100 per new client intake
* $63 per follow-up session
* Flexible scheduling; compensation based on clients seen
* All client referrals are provided by the practice; no client sourcing required

Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMSW) to join our team as an independent contractor. This hybrid position offers flexibility of telehealth work, with in-person availability once per week required. This position is well‑suited for LMSWs seeking strong supervision, a balanced caseload, and a supportive practice environment. Clinicians maintain a balanced caseload supported by strong administrative and scheduling systems.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic interviews
* Provide individual and family therapy using evidence-based approaches
* Collaborate with clients to develop and implement treatment plans
* Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
* Coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other clinicians
* Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed
* Uphold ethical standards and client confidentiality in accordance with Maryland licensing regulations
* Minimum of 10 therapy sessions per week required
Qualifications:
* Active LMSW license in the state of Maryland
* Master’s degree in social work or related mental health field
* 1 years of clinical experience in outpatient mental health settings preferred
* Experience working with diverse populations and a range of diagnoses
* Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms
* Strong communication, organization, and clinical judgment
