Duties
- Assist patients in choosing eyewear that fits their prescription, style preferences, and lifestyle needs, ensuring a positive retail experience.
- Conduct preliminary eye examinations, including measuring vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse, and performing basic visual acuity tests.
- Support ophthalmology and clinic staff with laboratory procedures, including lens fitting, frame adjustments, and optical measurements using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like NexTech.
- Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Prepare and process medical billing and coding documentation for insurance claims related to optical services.
- Manage retail sales of eyewear products while applying retail math skills to meet sales goals and optimize inventory management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in optical settings with a strong understanding of optical products and lab experience preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as NexTech or similar platforms used in clinics for documentation and scheduling.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and data security.

Pay: $25.66 - $30.91 per hour
