Job Summary:
The client is looking for an experienced lead engineer with 14 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL and SSIS, along with deep experience in data integration, ETL development, database design, performance tuning, and leading data engineering initiatives. This role requires both hands-on technical capability and the ability to guide teams, define best practices, and support business-critical data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using SSIS.
- Build, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
- Lead data engineering projects involving data migration, integration, transformation, and consolidation.
- Architect and maintain robust data solutions for enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Monitor and improve database and ETL job performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple source systems and target platforms.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis for ETL and database-related problems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including data flow diagrams, mapping documents, and process definitions.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, backup, recovery, and compliance.
- Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, release planning, and deployment activities.
Salary : $70 - $75
