We are seeking an experienced Production Manager / Operations Manager to lead the GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) and GFRG manufacturing operations. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for end-to-end production, quality, safety, materials, equipment, scheduling, labor, and team development.

The Production Manager will directly oversee department managers across Molding, Welding, Finishing/Packaging, and Production, supporting a large and diverse manufacturing workforce. This position will play a key role in developing leaders, establishing accountability, improving production flow, controlling labor and material costs, and building a culture of quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

RESPONSABILITIES:

Directly manage all production department managers

  • Molding (CNC milling, mold/plug construction, fiberglass parts)
  • Welding (metal frame welding)
  • Finishing/Packaging (part finishing, transportation preparation, packaging, and shipping)
  • Production (mold set-up, GFRC/GFRG casting/spraying, frame setting, demolding, and equipment maintenance)

Design, deploy, and sustain the company’s production management system

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, standardized processes, and stable workflows to deliver high-quality GFRC/GFRG products at optimal cost and efficiency.
  • Establish and manage a complete Total Quality Management (TQM) system, including fully documented
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all stages of the GFRC/GFRG production and QC process.
  • Confirm and/or design a robust equipment maintenance program to maintain company readiness, minimize downtime, and support OEE targets.

Quality System Ownership

  • Lead daily QC checks and formal inspections at critical process points.
  • Own final acceptance criteria before product moves downstream.
  • Own the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process: prompt documentation, photos and facts, root-cause analysis, corrective action, follow-up, and closure.
  • Track recurring defects and verify that countermeasures actually prevent recurrence.
  • Know the current quality condition without having to “go find it”: recent Level 3 defects, NCR status, major recurring issues, top quality priorities, active countermeasures, and early results.

Technical Competency

  • Develop Level-1-equivalent GFRC quality competency within the agreed onboarding timeframe; formal APA QC Technician Level 1 certification timing will be established based on business need.
  • Work toward APA QC Technician Level 2 or equivalent advanced capability within 6-12 months, as appropriate.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications relevant to GFRC.
  • Understand the basics of GFRC engineering connections and their implications for fabrication, quality, installation, and rework.
  • Evaluate proposed fixes and process changes using technical facts, not assumptions.

Utilize strong problem-solving and resourcefulness

  • Apply rapid problem-solving methods and Lean tools to deliver simplified, effective solutions.
  • Implement structured Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) to eliminate recurring defects and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Daily Production & Process Oversight

  • Coordinate with team leads daily to create and adjust the production schedule.
  • Assign roles and responsibilities to ensure workflow runs smoothly and deadlines are met.
  • Identify the root causes of inefficiencies, quality issues, and delays—and solve them.

  • Proactively submit purchase requests to prevent shortages.
  • Analyze usage patterns to identify waste and improve efficiency.
