Job Description
The positions of Warehouse Specialist Lead and Warehouse Speciliast will maintain warehouse supply support activcities including the receipt; storage; ensuring condition code, completeness, and serviceability of parts prior to issue; inventory; and preparing material for dispatch utilizing correct Army regulation procedures. Provide inventory and receiving/shipping personnel to perform data entry, update inventory, and enter items into a variety of automation resources. Perform physical inventories, preparation of reports, maintenance of records, and the operation of various types of vehicles, material handling, cleaning equipment, spares and repairs as directed, and other requirements as defined below.
- Provide customer assistance in a timely and courteous manner.
- Apply basic supply management principles and knowledge of regulatory requirements and performing supply management functions pertaining to proper-ty request, receipt, storage, issue, inventory, and property accountability.
- Assist the Government with the receiving, issuing and storage of materiel; identifying, requesting and receiving material, parts and supplies; examining and inventorying items of supply received to verify part number/stock number and quantity according to the shipment documentation.
- Ensure condition code, e.g. completeness and serviceability of parts and materiel prior to distribution.
- Prepare material for dispatching using correct material handling methods and devices to ensure receipt at final destination without damage or discrepancies.
- Perform physical inventories, preparation of reports, maintenance of records and the operation of various types of vehicles, material handling and cleaning equipment.
- Maintain files in accordance with applicable Army Regulations.
- Use Force Management System Web (FMSWeb), LOGSA Web based Logistics Integrated Database (WEBLIDB) and Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Material Master Record, and GCSS-A to download approved current and future authorization documents, document number status, and ARC Codes for equipment.
- Reconcile authorization documents with property records and identify, initiate, and track all types of administrative changes required to adjust Primary Hand Receipts and/or the Property Book for PBO approval (Equipment changes in GCSS-A, using DD250 receipts, DA 3161 lateral transfers, DA 2765-1 found on installations and DD 1348-1, issue and turn-in documents).
- Assist in identifying excess property for redistribution through internal cross-leveling requirements and/or provide turn-in disposition.
- Maintain frequent contact with units to resolve issues concerning property book management.
- Post property accountability transactions using fax copies of adjustment documents except for Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL). FLIPLs shall be inputted directly into the system (these documents cannot be faxed or scanned).
- Post in GCSS-A all standard and non-standard Line Item Number (LIN) equipment reflecting serial numbers and annotate them on the property book accounts for each hand receipt holder.
- Ensure all issue and turn-in documents are complete, legible and accurate.
Qualifications
- Must have a current Secret Clearance
- Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently; ability to maintain good communication skills with client and customers.
- Workers shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and capable of normal ambulation.
- Must be U.S. citizens
Additional Information
- Licensed to drive/operate Government owned commercial vehicles (up to a Class C non-CDL) and material handling equipment (including but not limited to box trucks or forklifts). Forklift certification must be maintained annually.
- Capable of lifting weights of up to 40 pounds and carrying the weight for a distance of up to 30 feet unassisted. Heavy exertion, kneeling, crouching, stooping and walking may be frequent and is required for the performance of these tasks.
- Knowledgeable of basic supply management principles and Army regulatory requirements.
- Training or proven experience with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) Logistics Information System.
