What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician position at Next Day Access?
Next Day Access Spokane/CDA helps veterans and individuals with mobility challenges live safely and independently in their own homes. We install modular ramps, platforms, threshold ramps, and other accessibility solutions — working with both VA-contracted clients and private pay customers across the Spokane and North Idaho region. We’re looking for a skilled, dependable Field Technician to join our growing team. You’ll handle both site evaluations and installations — working directly with clients in their homes to assess needs, build solutions, and deliver work you can be proud of. No two jobs are exactly alike, and the clients we serve count on us to show up ready and do it right.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct site evaluations to assess accessibility needs and document findings accurately
- Install modular ramp systems, platforms, threshold ramps, ground pads, and related components
- Communicate professionally with clients and their families during home visits
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain tools, materials, and your vehicle in good working order
- Coordinate with the operations team on scheduling, inventory, and job status
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in construction, carpentry, general contracting, or a related hands-on trade (preferred)
- Ability to read and follow installation specifications and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail — documentation accuracy matters
- Professional, patient demeanor when working in clients’ homes
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying weather, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Spokane and North Idaho
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
