Warehouse/Inventory Lead – Next Century Spirits
Who we are: Established in Raleigh, NC in 2018, Next Century Spirits blends traditional techniques and unique finishing technologies to create enhanced distilled spirits. Our patented post distillation filtering and finishing technology creates a tool for the traditional distiller to expand their repertoire of achievable flavors and aromas while improving quality, maintaining consistency, and reducing supply chain issues. This technology allows for tight control over the entire production process, resulting in the ability to create bold and unique flavor customization options for brands to choose from to expand product portfolios and fulfill market needs. As we have matured so to have our aspirations of developing our own portfolio of brands.
Primary Duty: We are seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Lead to join our logistics team at Next Century Spirits. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the inventory and shipping operations, ensuring accurate, efficient and timely dispatch of products in full compliance with safety and quality standards. You will be instrumental in optimizing shipping processes and leading a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Coordinate with management to ensure accuracy in shipments/receipts and resolve discrepancies
- Develop and implement shipping and receiving procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor shipping/receiving metrics and prepare reports for management
- Oversee Inventory levels, including error logging, tracking and correction, as well as performing cycle counts, verification & problem reporting
- Lead warehouse optimization initiative
Required Qualifications:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- 2 years of experience in shipping and logistics, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven track record of managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks
- Ability to drive a 26’ box truck, clean driving record
- High School diploma or GED

- 5S, Lean Manufacturing
- Previous experience in beverage, bottling or food manufacturing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
