Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Latin dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor consistency.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu offerings that highlight traditional Latin ingredients and cooking styles.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment.
• Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients with precision using knife skills.
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of Latin cuisine while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared efficiently to meet service timelines during busy hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Latin cuisine cooking or culinary arts, with a strong knowledge of traditional recipes and techniques.
• Background in restaurant or fine dining environments, demonstrating excellent food preparation and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with dietary department standards, food safety regulations, and proper food handling practices.
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services is highly desirable.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods essential for authentic Latin dishes.
• Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus, indicating an understanding of specialized dietary needs.
