Position Title: Sports/MMJ

Reports to: News Director

KFOR-TV, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist who loves sports. Whether shooting, writing, reporting or anchoring, we need a sports journalist who loves storytelling. One night you may be covering high school football, the next you’re covering the NBA Champs, the Oklahoma City Thunder! Your work will shine on every platform – broadcast, digital and CTV. Join us!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports sports stories for broadcast
• Writes digital sports stories
• Produces content for CTV, our digital platform
• Pitches stories to sports management that are relevant to our local community
• Shoots and edits sporting events for both TV and digital
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
  
  

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Flexibility to work varied shifts
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work outdoors periodically, in varied weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
