This requires the ability to respond quickly to breaking news, emails, phone calls and beat calls.

Requirements:
- Degree in journalism; daily newspaper or news site experience required; live, working web samples and/or print pages preferred
- Proficiency in Associated Press style
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of design for content management systems, usability and accessibility practice and customer focus are essential.
- Post stories to fox40.com, FOX40 social media sites and FOX40 CTV Apps
- Monitor police and emergency scanners and electronic/printed sources for news and disseminate the information to appropriate newsroom personnel
- Coordinate and dispatch reporters and photographers to execute news coverage
- Conduct beat calls and contact public information officers to gather information
- Must be willing and able to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
- Answer calls from viewers and develop possible story ideas
