Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support a stable and growing machinery manufacturing operation in Ripon, Wisconsin.
The successful candidate will install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems used in industrial machinery. This position is ideal for someone with strong electrical troubleshooting skills who can work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and PLC-controlled machinery and equipment.
- Design and test minor electrical circuits.
- Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic system problems.
- Install electrical and electronic controls using schematics, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Install, repair, and adjust wiring, panels, breakers, conduit, fixtures, and electrical services.
- Mount and connect motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, and related components.
- Test circuits and equipment using electrical testing instruments.
- Disassemble electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts.
- Monitor electrical power and water distribution systems.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs when required.
- Search for replacement parts and document maintenance activities in the CMMS.
- Identify electrical hazards and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Complete additional maintenance tasks assigned by the Group Leader.
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and PLC-controlled machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of industrial motors, transformers, panels, breakers, conduit, and wiring.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic mechanical repair skills.
- Ability to use a computer and CMMS system to search for parts and record maintenance work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and manual tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening, and background check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Must be able to work on-site in Ripon, Wisconsin without relocation assistance.
