Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage maintenance operations on a plant shift. The role involves overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery, as well as building systems such as HVAC, doors, and rooftop fans. The supervisor will ensure the maintenance team delivers high-quality work, maintains equipment reliability, and adheres to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the shift maintenance team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Plan, execute, and oversee preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Supervise millwrights and technicians, ensuring proper execution of tasks and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and report critical spares and maintenance needs to management.
- Provide training on maintenance techniques, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Coordinate with production teams to maintain equipment condition and reduce downtime.
- Implement process improvements and equipment upgrades to optimize plant operations.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and ensure availability of machine drawings, tools, spares, and PPE.
- Enforce safety standards, including OSHA compliance, to achieve zero recordable incidents.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and support plant operational goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise maintenance staff on shift, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Address employee concerns, enforce policies, and support team development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of plant equipment, machinery, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems for maintenance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of safety standards, OSHA regulations, and maintenance best practices.
- Experience in planning and executing equipment upgrades and preventive maintenance programs.
